With all the hot and dry weather, baling has started for many. South of Hussar in Arrowwood silaging is underway.

On July 24 the Wheatland FCSS held a volunteer tea at the Sundowners Centre. We are very luck to have such an great group of ladies organize many activities and courses for the Wheatland County.

Happy 60 Birthday to Randy Kaiser. He had a birthday party at his farm for his many friends, neighbours and family. His birthday was July 21.

Congratulations to Jessica and Scott Douglass who were married on July 24 at the Sage Farm. The wedding, reception and dance were all at the farm. Next week will have more news on the wedding.

Wade and Lorilee Dundas along with Payton and Madi Shuman were camping at Crawling Valley from July 20 to 23. Grandpa and Grandma took the girls to the Bassano Dam as well. The weather was very hot so the beach and water were very popular. Clay, Colleen and Emma Armstrong along with Pam, Casey Kalie and Dayne Collett were also camping and boating there.

On Sunday, July 23 many people of the Hussar area celebrated the 80th birthday of Melvin Thew in Strathmore at the Legion. Happy Birthday Melvin and many more.

It was good to hear that the Wildrose Party and the Conservative Party voted to unify together to make one strong party here in Alberta. 95% voted for the new party.

Hopefully we can get our province working for the people again.
