We are sneaking up on the end of July. There have been some crazy little storms and the lightning on Sunday night was pretty spectacular. Be sure to enjoy the summer days and evenings.
It’s so nice to see the flax and canola in bloom. I don’t want to jinx anything but the crops are looking very nice in our area.

It is a busy week at the Community Hall this week with the 14th Annual Southern Alberta Grazing School for Women which will take place on July 25 and 26.
This Saturday, July 29, is the Heavy Horse Competition at Verdant Valley starting at noon. There is free admission with concession on site. There will be Beef on a Bun for supper with live music. For more information contact Elson at 403-823-9820.
On August 2 the Starland Ag Service Board Summer tour will take place finishing off at the Munson Community Hall with a barbecue. Topics for the day include, Dekalb Canola plots, Rumsey Soybeans and Grain Storage. For more information contact Dara or Al at 403-7723793.
