The Drumheller Mail - - CLASSIFIEDS -

The weather has been pretty warm lately but I guess we should be thankful we haven’t got all the fires to contend with like B.C. has.

On Monday, July 17, the Arthritics went to Continuing Care to entertain the seniors there. Several members went to the Sunshine Lodge to help them play Canasta. The seniors said they sure enjoyed it and hope to play again August 6.

Dan Hird is willing to teach Bridge in September. If anyone is interested phone him at 403-823-6260.

Our Crib tournament was held July 22 with over 50 people from across Alberta attending. 1st place: Shirley and Rose, Calgary; 2nd place: Gord and Barb, Calgary; 3rd place: Iris and Renata, Drumheller; 50/50 draw: Ed and Fay, Drumheller. A very delicious lunch was served by the ladies of the Pioneer Trail. Next crib is October 21.

We have some long play records as well as a book sale. Buy a bag at a great bargain.

We would sure appreciate if you have an hour to spare to drop in and tie quilts. If you can tie a knot, you can help.

A second grader came home from school. “Grandma, guess what? We learned how to make babies today.” The Grandmother, more than a little surprised said, “That’s interesting. How do you make babies?” “It’s simple,” replied the young girl. “You just change ‘y’ to ‘i’ and add ‘es’.”
