I see some of the stores are advertising back to school sales already - wowdidn’t the summer holidays just start?? Time just keeps going faster all the time.
Well, we are in the first week of August already – summer will soon be over, enjoy it while it lasts. Remember the slow pitch tournament in Delia on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of August. call Jeff Rasmussen for times and information on registering.
Be sure to visit the Delia Museum this summer – it’s a great place to take your summer visitors for a tour, so many interesting items of the history of Delia.
The museum will be open in August from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 4 p.m. there are names and contact numbers on the door if anyone wants to visit the museum on Sunday and Monday.
Tyler Andersen is the summer student for the third year at the museum so he will share his wealth of knowledge about Delia’s history with you.
There is no fee to visit the Museum but donations are gratefully accepted.
The Delia Drop In Centre continues to have coffee mornings through the summer on Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning at 9 a.m., stop by for a coffee and maybe even a game of cards to start the day.
Pool tables and shuffleboard tables are there for a game if you wish, and someone is always around to visit with.
There is no birthday party in the Centre in August but we do have pot luck on the third Thursday of the month at 12 noon sharp. Bring a dish and come have lunch with us. Everyone welcome
