It was another weekend of weddings for our community members as Colby and Alyssa ( Yavis) Couturier celebrated their wedding vows down in the beautiful Drumheller Valley then later up at the Barn amidst family and friends. Terry and Sabrina couldn’t have been happier with the days’ events.

Myrna and Blair Anderson also hosted a wedding celebration at their farm for Myrna’s daughter Lychelle and her husband, Clinton Horner. They also had a beautiful, hot day out at the farm where the bride and groom exchanged their vows then later moved the party into the Rumsey Hall for a wonderful reception and dance. Congratulations to both couples and may you consider Rumsey a second home.

Since the news is a little scarce this week, I would like to remind you of the little gem we have available in town, our community library. The library has changed so much over the past 20 years that we certainly are not just books anymore. We have ebooks, audiobooks, study aids for the student in your home, movies and tv series available online or by rental, music to download. Online resources in auto repair and small engine, ancestry search sites, magazines and newspapers available to download as digital copies so you never have to buy a subscription again, learn a new language with Mango Languages, Science reference center, Health Source for Consumers, is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, software, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. We have a membership fee for the year and this means that there will be no late fees, access to every service in the library and online so come in and check out what is new. Also, remember that the library is running the Community Calendar photo contest again this year at the Garden Show. You can bring in your best photos anytime to me at the library, they must be printed in a 5”X7” size please and each category is based on the months of the year plus the cover photo so you can enter up to 13 photos. I publish the winners each year in the calendar.

Don’t forget the S.T.A.R.S ride will be taking off from the TL Bar ranch in two weeks, Sunday, August 13, so be sure to enjoy the day down at the river.

Have a great week, everyone.
