We have had a couple of really nice rains this week, crops and gardens are per king up and it looks like the lawn may decide to live after all. Maybe the dr ought is over , do you think?
Hope everyone is enjoying a splendid long weekend and comes home safe and happy. The Delia Community Centre was full on Saturday afternoon as family and friends of Elsie Limpert gathered for an early celebration of her 85 th birthday. Elsie, who c ame from a family often children, had six children of her own, all of those people had spouses, children and grandchildren, not to mention cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces, so throw in some Delia friends and the hall was full to overflowing. Congratulations Elsie, it was a lovely party, we will all be around for your 100th!
The Drumheller Travel Club invites you to come join them on t heir next trip to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village-Harvest of the Past. This will take place on Sunday, September 10. Celebrate Alberta’ s agricultural roots with a traditional harvest at the Ukrainian Village. Witness an old fashioned threshing bee complete with vintage farm equipment and grain deliveries to the historic elevator. Other historical activities include flower and herb drying, feather stripping, making kapusta, grinding wheat, quilting and canning produce from the museums garden. The bus is Lo ran Charters (56 seats, A/C, wash rooms ), it leaves Hanna at 5:40 a.m ., departs from Drum at 6:45 at the Sunshine Lodge, at 7:00 a.m. from the Bad lands Facility, and returns to Drum heller at about 8:00 p.m. In Han na contact Pat or Murray Johnson, at 403 854 4695. In Dr um leave your money, phone # and name in an envelope at the BCF library and a club member will contact you to confirm. If you are from Delia, you can leave your name and money at the Drop In Centre with Eva and I will get it to the Johnson’ s. This is a special trip to recruit new members to the club :( must be over 18) let’s fill that bus!

Remember to drop in to the Drop In Centre in Deli a on Tuesday and Thursday mornings around 9 for coffee, pot luck is on Thursday, August 17, 12 noon sharp. Bring a dish and join us for lunch, everyone is invited. Stay for cards if you desire, or just come and visit.
Birthday greetings to Norman Marshall on the 7 th of August – it was nice to see you and Sheila at Elsie’s party, glad you are looking well. Jackie Friedley is a little older on the 9 th of August, Abraham Yarborough will celebrate another year on August 14, and Lloyd and Peggy Anderson have their anniversary on the 15 th of August.
