So, we had a nic e lit tle rain on Sunda y af ternoon accompanied by a br ight flash of lightning and thunder t hat lit erally sho ok t he house...a little too close for comfort! And on t his Monday mor ning, definit ely much cooler and f oggy but looks like it is going to burn off quick a sIc an alr eady see some blue sky...come on back sun, har vesters ne ed you...ah and even as I write, there it is peeking through... lovely!
And now we usher in September. A c ouple of first da ys of s chool ar e in the books and I s ee on t he school billb oard t hat p ancake breakfast and pic tures are up next in that order on Tuesday, September 12 and Thursday, September 14. It is a good thing for our Morrin School to have their efficient k itchen de partment running so well, makes food prep for school functions more c onvenient. S o, st udents and st aff, en joy your welcome back breakfast and picture day and best wishes to all for a good year. Als o, on the kitchen end of t hings, we we lcome Crystal Anders on and her culinary skills to our village as she has signed on to run the Mor rin Ar ena Conc ession and had a g rand opening day on F riday, S eptember 1. We appreciate having the lo cal f amily f ood s ervice up and r unning ag ain and we sur e hop e you st ay awhile! Cr ystal w ill ans wer arena phone or c ell phone (403-821-0631) and plans to have the grill going 7 days a we ek f rom 11-7 s o come down, sa y hi and che ck it out... poutine tastes as good as ever!
