The older kids are back in school, and it’s Toddlin’ Time for the younger set (ages 0-5) and their caregivers. Drop by the library between 1:00 and 2:30. Give yourself and your little one some social time! Strathmore Parent Link is coming to the Rockyford Library for six consecutive weeks, beginning October 6. Stay tuned for more information. During that six weeks, Toddlin’ Time will move to that Friday time slot; but remember that any time the library is open, you are welcome to visit.

Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum! It’s International Pirates’ Day on Tuesday, September 19. Learn the myths and facts about some famous pirates of old at Rockyford Library free video-conference, Pirates!, at 7:00 on that day. Bring your peg leg, eye patch, and landlubber acquaintances, but please leave your cutlass at home.

If you enjoy reading and would like to check out some books that you may not have otherwise read, join the Speaking Volumes (Adult) Book Club. The group meets every third Wednesday, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., from September through June at the library. The next meeting is Wednesday, September 20, at which time the group will discuss The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. Drop in to check it out.
