Mark down this num­ber: 403-823-4183. You now have the con­nec­tion to get in on the fun and ex­cite­ment bid­ding at the 2017 Ro­tary Ra­dio Auc­tion, Oc­to­ber 11 and 12 on CFCW. If you can at­tend either evening from 6-10 p.m., join us for wine and cheese, cour­tesy Hi-Way 9 Group of Com­pa­nies.

Also, you’re in­vited to pre-bid from noon – 4 pm on Tues­day (Septem­ber 10) – and the fol­low­ing Wed­nes­day and Thursday. Just come on in to the Drumheller Coop to place your bids.

What’s go­ing to be up for auc­tion? You name it. There will be any­thing from great sports mem­o­ra­bilia (au­to­graphed game worn Cal­gary Flames jer­seys) – deluxe pool cue set, tele­vi­sions – cloth­ing – watches, agri­cul­ture prod­ucts in­clud­ing bale haul­ing – and, yes, your op­por­tu­nity to se­lect the top turkey: the Eskimo turkey – the Stam­ped­ers turkey or the Riders turkey. These But­ter­ball tur­keys are all part of the sale. And, re­mem­ber, the more you bid on your favourite team turkey, the more Ro­tary can help the com­mu­nity.

Fol­low­ing a pre­sen­ta­tion by Shauna Wat­son and Diana Rowe, the club will come forth with spon­sor­ship for the upcoming year for the In­door Fam­ily Free Play ac­tiv­i­ties.

To­day, Ro­tar­i­ans are as­sist­ing with Drumheller’s first Sparks Fair which brings in stu­dents from the Stan­dard, Rock­y­ford, Hus­sar, Car­bon, Mor­rin, Rum­sey and Delia ar­eas, in ad­di­tion to those from the val­ley.

Tick­ets are sell­ing fast for the Ro­tary Grey Cup scores. They’re just $2. There’s a chance to win money on ev­ery quar­ter with the fi­nal score pay­ing up to $600. Tell a club mem­ber you want some tick­ets. A tip: Ken Bri­ault at Al­lied Dis­trib­u­tors - Paul Ain­scough at River­side Drug Mart or Shirley at SJ Fash­ions just hap­pen to have some in the palm of their hands.
