Drumheller man sentenced for possession of stolen trucks
A Drumheller man was sentenced to five month for charges related to stolen trucks in the area.
Tyree Ewing appeared in provincial court in Drumheller on Friday, September 15.
He pleaded guilty to a number of charges related to stolen vehicles recently in the valley.
On September 2 at 7:55 a.m., Ewing was driving a truck recently stolen from Calgary when he went to a local gas station and filled the truck with fuel and left without paying.
On Monday, September 4 he attended to a farm yard in the rural vicinity of Drumheller.
He was driving a 1975 GMC truck that had recently been stolen. He abandoned this truck and took a 1991 Dodge from the farm yard. This truck became immobilized and police apprehended Ewing.
These events happened just days after Ewing was sentenced and on a probation order for similar offenses.
Ewing was sentenced to five months in custody, with 12 days of credit for time served awaiting his day in court.
