cessed from fed­eral and pro­vin­cial grants and to­day we see the re­sults of my ini­tia­tive. This was truly a com­mu­nity en­deav­our and it demon­strates how much a group of like-minded peo­ple can ac­com­plish to­gether.

When I think back about it, I re­alise that I never planned on go­ing into pol­i­tics. But, years ago, I was not will­ing to sit by and let these im­por­tant ar­ti­facts of our col­lec­tive his­tory be de­stroyed. I saw a need, I be­came in­volved, and I made big things hap­pen. I am not a talker, I am a doer. As in the past, I see a need to­day, I want to be­come in­volved, and I will make big things hap­pen. This val­ley is my home, with so much un­tapped po­ten­tial.
