The Standard Municipal Library presents it’s all new, “Autumn Harvest Supper Fundraiser & Silent Auction”. Join in at the Standard Community Hall, on Friday, November 3, from 5 – 7 p.m. for a delicious supper, silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle. Special guests, Caleigh Haworth from Marigold HQ will be there with her eReader petting zoo, and will have information on the eResources available to you from the library. Career Coach, Deirdre Maclean of the McBride Career Group and Osas EwekaSmith of LeaglAve will have information booths set up.
Quality Education is a community commitment. The Friends of East Wheatland have extended an open invitation to the community to join in at the Wheat- land Crossing School Open House, on Tuesday, November 14, from 4 – 6 p.m.
The Wheatland Crossing Graduation Class of 2018 is selling Purdy’s Chocolates as a fundraiser for their graduation ceremony. We appreciate your support!!! A reminder… The ongoing bottle drive fundraiser to support the youth of the Nazareth Lutheran Church. They are raising funds to go to the Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth (CLAY) gathering in 2020. Bottles/cans/tetra packs can be left in the manse garage or contact Richard for pick up at 587 727 0545. A reminder… Prairie Speakers, a division of Toastmasters International meets every Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. in the community meeting room at the Calgary Co-op store in Strathmore. Th e members are all learning, so there is no expectation to come in with speaking experience! Join in to learn, practice and grow!
