The Stan­dard Mu­nic­i­pal Li­brary presents it’s all new, “Au­tumn Har­vest Supper Fundraiser & Silent Auc­tion”. Join in at the Stan­dard Com­mu­nity Hall, on Fri­day, Novem­ber 3, from 5 – 7 p.m. for a de­li­cious supper, silent auc­tion, and a 50/50 raf­fle. Spe­cial guests, Caleigh Ha­worth from Marigold HQ will be there with her eReader pet­ting zoo, and will have in­for­ma­tion on the eRe­sources avail­able to you from the li­brary. Ca­reer Coach, Deirdre Ma­clean of the McBride Ca­reer Group and Osas EwekaSmith of LeaglAve will have in­for­ma­tion booths set up.

Qual­ity Ed­u­ca­tion is a com­mu­nity com­mit­ment. The Friends of East Wheat­land have ex­tended an open in­vi­ta­tion to the com­mu­nity to join in at the Wheat- land Cross­ing School Open House, on Tues­day, Novem­ber 14, from 4 – 6 p.m.

The Wheat­land Cross­ing Grad­u­a­tion Class of 2018 is sell­ing Purdy’s Choco­lates as a fundraiser for their grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mony. We ap­pre­ci­ate your sup­port!!! A re­minder… The on­go­ing bot­tle drive fundraiser to sup­port the youth of the Nazareth Lutheran Church. They are rais­ing funds to go to the Cana­dian Lutheran Angli­can Youth (CLAY) gath­er­ing in 2020. Bot­tles/cans/tetra packs can be left in the manse garage or con­tact Richard for pick up at 587 727 0545. A re­minder… Prairie Speak­ers, a di­vi­sion of Toast­mas­ters In­ter­na­tional meets ev­ery Wed­nes­day from 7-9 p.m. in the com­mu­nity meet­ing room at the Cal­gary Co-op store in Strath­more.
