Well, that was a bit of a shocker to wake up to all that white stuff! Guess win­ter is here to stay. Hope you re­mem­bered to set your clocks back on Sat­ur­day night. It al­ways feels like –Yay! I get an ex­tra hour! the first Sun­day morn­ing when Day­light Sav­ing Time ends. Sun­day morn­ing, Novem­ber 12, will be the first Sun­day morn­ing pan­cake break­fast of this sea­son, spon­sored by the Delia Elks, at the Delia Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, from 9 un­til noon. This is al­ways a su­per good break­fast with lots of good hearty food, served by friendly Elks. Give the cook a break and take her (or him?) out for break­fast on Sun­day morn­ing. Al­ways good for some brownie points. The Pan­cake Break­fasts will hap- pen ev­ery sec­ond Sun­day of each month from now un­til next Spring. Mark your cal­en­dar. The Re­mem­brance Day Ser­vice will be held at the Delia Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Sat­ur­day, Novem­ber 11, at 10:15 a.m. lunch to fol­low.

Be sure to come to re­mem­ber and hon­our all those who served in the forces, past or present.

Re­mem­ber to get your tick­ets for Delia’s Christ­mas Fam­ily Din­ner The­atre at the Com­mu­nity Hall on De­cem­ber 16 and 17. Tick­ets are avail­able from Sar­a­lyn Stel at 403 820 0506 or at the High­land Mar­ket in Delia.

Cof­fee morn­ings are at the Drop In Cen­tre in Delia on Tues­day and Thurs­day, drop in and have a cof­fee. The third Thurs­day of the month is potluck at the Cen­tre. This month the Cen­tre will be hav­ing a Chi­nese din­ner in­stead of our usual pot luck. Get in touch with Rick Fair if you would like to join us. The last Thurs­day of the month is al­ways Crib night at the Drop In Cen­tre, start­ing at 7 p.m., Come for a game of crib or any card game you chose. Lots of fun and re­fresh­ments to fol­low. Would you like to try floor curl­ing? Great ex­er­cise and a lot of fun –and you don’t have to curl on that cold ice! Am­a­teur art classes have started and take place at the Delia School on Wed­nes­day af­ter­noons from 3:30 to 6:30. You may call 403 364 -2149 for more in­for­ma­tion. The Delia Li­brary has a video con­fer­ence on bud­get­ing at the li­brary on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 22, at 7 p.m., This is pre­sented from the Air­drie Pub­lic Li­brary by Mark Kalinowski, Fi­nan­cial Ed­u­ca­tor Credit Coun­selling So­ci­ety. Join them to learn the skills of bud­get­ing.

Tales and Tunes PreSchool Story Time is at the Li­brary on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 8 and 22, ba­bies and tots at 10 a.m., 3 - 6 year olds at 10:30 a.m. Bring your preschooler and come en­joy songs, sto­ries, rhymes to de­velop a joy of read­ing. Chil­dren must be ac­com­pa­nied by an adult as they will be in­ter­act­ing dur­ing the pro­gram.

The Delia li­brary will closed Novem­ber 13-17.

Happy Birth­day to Joanne An­der­son on Novem­ber 10, and Happy An­niver­sary wishes to Ron and Norma See­gar on Novem­ber 10, as well, Doreen McNair will be a year older on Novem­ber 14 and Jim An­der­sen will have his big day on Novem­ber 19.
