Greetings & Salutations! Here’s what’s new this week in the Standard Community…
Greetings Library Friends! Unfortunately, due to the snowy conditions outside the Autumn Harvest Supper Fundraiser was cancelled. The Library Board wanted everyone to stay safe! Thank you to all who were planning on coming out and supporting the library. Please stay tuned for a future date. Did you know… Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! in Quebec is the only place in the world to have not one, but two exclamation marks in the name. In the 17 century, “ha ha” was the word for unexpected obstacles, and in the case of this town, the obstacle was Lake Témiscouata. A reminder… Quality Education is a community com- mitment. The Friends of East Wheatland have extended an open invitation to the community to join in at the Wheatland Crossing School Open House, on Tuesday, November 14, from 4 – 6 p.m. A reminder… The Wheatland Crossing Graduation Class of 2018 is selling Purdy’s Chocolates as a fundraiser for their graduation ceremony. To show your support and give very sweet Christmas gifts to your friends, family or yourself, please use this link, https://www. purdysgpp.com/5539 Once signed in, you can buy their amazing chocolates and invite others to join and support the grad class of 2018. In order to support the group please make sure it says Wheatland Crossing Grad Class 2018. We appreciate your support!!!
