We might be doing some grumbling about winter arriving with such a heavy snow fall but it sure is pretty. You can’t deny that.
The winner of the Munson 300 Raffle draw for November 4 was Mitch Martin of Munson. Congratulations and thank you so much for purchasing tickets. I’ve started to get phone calls from people who want to buy tickets for the 2018 Munson Raffle. They will be on sale around the start of December don’t miss out. Let me know if you would like a ticket.
This Friday, November 10 the Remembrance Day service at Morrin School will start at 10:45. This is always a very good service. The students and teachers put a lot of time and energy into the event. Everyone is welcome.
The Munson Community Association will be having a Christmas market on December 2. Please give Krystal Sharpe a call if you would like to participate (403)820-4214. The Morrin Christmas market is on November 19 from 11:00 – 3:00.
In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month for November the Morrin Lions will be holding an information night at the Morrin Hall on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome. The theme this year will be “Food and Physical Activity”. Did you know that over 422 million people worldwide have diabetes, a growing world epidemic that is expected to affect over 642 million by 2040.
Be sure to mark December 17 as the Santa Brunch in Munson. There will be more details in the weeks to come.
Curling season in Rumsey is underway and the ice looks just beautiful. Thanks to the very capable crew that put it in each year. Super league runs Friday evenings and is very entertaining with excellent curling competition on the ice. Ladies league runs Tuesday evenings.
