Minor hockey season is underway and the Raptors are on the ice and playing well.

President of the Drum- heller Minor Hockey Association Lyle Cawiezel says registration was strong once again this year, at about the pace as last season.

All the coaches are in place, and there are two teams at all age levels with the exception of Midget and Bantam where there is only one team at each level.

“The Novice and Atom teams are smaller, but they are a good size so the players are on the ice a lot and they are getting good development in games,” said Cawiezel.

This weekend is the final tiering round for the league. This will determine at what level each hockey team will play, matching the teams at compete levels.

“We are just waiting for that to shake out,” said Cawiezel.

After that, the regular season will be underway. same

The Raptors are back on the ice for the 2017-2018 season and are finishing up their tiering round this weekend.
