Welcome t o t he s eason of Christmas. The Chr istmas Party is f ast a pproaching f or the little ones in our c ommunity. I t w ill b e he ld on D ecember 16 f rom 4:00 p.m. t o 6:00 p.m. w ith S anta c oming to he ar your child ’s w ish. Everyone is in vited to come and visit, of course. There will be a Christmas craft and movie.
Parents ar e in vited t o dr op off t heir sp ecial p ackages in the kitchen with Santa’s helpers, make sur e you add your child’s name. It should be a fun afternoon for everyone. This Wednesday, December 6 w ill b e t he first of t he Elk s Turkey Bingos and will be held at the Rumsey Hall starting at 7:30 p.m. with the second Bingo to t ake place in Big V alley the following Wednesday.
Come out and ha ve s ome fun. Morrin also will be having a Turkey Bingo on D ecember 13 starting at 6:30 a t the Hall, all pr oceeds w ill go t owards the Mor rin Community Center.
The 4-H B eef club i s ch ugging along w ith f eeding t heir calves and taking care of business. A t t heir D ecember 12 meeting, t hey w ill b e ha ving a guest sp eaker, a n utritionist come and shar e s ome inf ormation so that will be helpful in the coming months as they work t owards p acking on t he pounds on t heir f avorite b ovine friends.

Ther e ar e still s ome available t hrough an y of t he Historical S ociety memb ers; Mary Ne wton, D ariel M cNaughton; or m yself a t t he Library. The R umsey L ibrary is als o s elling c alendars f eaturing s ome b eautiful phot os taken by lo cal phot ographers as a f undraiser for the librar y so stop in and take a look.
I would like t o pass on t hat Elaine W eisse is r ecovering happily from her s econd knee surgery. B oth sur geries ha ve gone ver y we ll and she lo oks forward to getting out on t he golf course again next spring.
This is t he la st c all f or volunteers to attend the Rumsey Ag S ociety’s Ann ual G eneral meeting t o b e he ld on Monday, D ecember 11 st arting a t 7:00 p.m. The Ag Society does lots of t hings in t he c ommunity and wor ks hard to maintain t he two b eautiful buildings and grounds that we have in town so it is important that we keep this going. I hope you can help out.
