There will be an 85th birth­day Cel­e­bra­tion for Ed­mund Vogstad on Saturday, April 28 at the Dalum Hall! The event starts at 3:00 p.m. Din­ner will be at 4:30 p.m. and the Band will be play­ing at 5:00 p.m. All Friends and fam­ily are wel­come to at­tend.

Get well wishes to Lorne Con­ley who is a pa­tient in the Foothills Hospi­tal.

Sym­pa­thy is ex­tended to Carol and Jim See­ley and fam­ily on the pass­ing of her brother Ar­mand Thomp­son of Cluny. His fu­neral was on Saturday, April 7 in Cluny.

Proud grand­par­ents Marvin and Donna Sev­cik at­tended the Drumheller music festival to watch their old­est grand­daugh­ter Suzanne com­pete. She per­formed in both pi­ano (un­der 15) and with the Strath­more Choir where she sang a solo. She will travel to Ed­mon­ton later this spring to per­form in both cat­e­gories.

Also, proud dad and grandma Jeff and Linda Epp at­tended the festival to watch Paul Epp per­form. He sang O Canada and also sang a solo with Saint An­thony’s School choir.

Laura Peake also per­formed at the Drumheller Music Festival singing a solo. Great Work ev­ery­one.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Jac­que­lyn San­dum in be­ing awarded high­est marks in Solo Jazz Dance in the 12 – 16 age cat­e­gory at the festival as well. The San­dum girls are very busy with all their spring com­pe­ti­tions in Stet­tler, Olds, Cam­rose and Drumheller.

Linda Epp had a niece and her three daugh­ters visit from La Crete, over Easter.

Get well wishes to Hughie Peake and Annabelle Arm­strong who are pa­tients in the Drumheller Hospi­tal.

Wel­come to the community is Brady and Jes­sica Kaiser. Brady was born and raised his Hus­sar and they have moved back to the farm to raise their chil­dren Pais­ley and Finn. Wel­come back to Hus­sar from Strath­more Kais­ers.

Don and Kay Fraser trav­elled to Spruce Grove with Jamie and Dee to watch grand­son Grif­fen in hockey provincials the week­end of March 29 to April 1. The boys lost out to the host team in the fi­nal game com­ing home with a sil­ver medal.

Hus­sar Community would like to send their con­do­lences to Bev San­ders and the rest of the fam­ily on the re­cent pass­ing of Norm San­ders. The Fu­neral Ser­vice will be on Saturday April 14, at the Hus­sar Community Hall at 2:00

A few cou­ples from Hus­sar en­joyed sup­per, live and silent auc­tion, and en­ter­tain­ment at the Bas­sano Hall to sup­port the Bas­sano Curl­ing Club Fundraiser. A good time was had by all as well as a suc­cess­ful evening for the Curl­ing Club.

Wheat­land Cross­ing wel­comes back stu­dents af­ter their Spring Break. Now the count­down is on un­til sum­mer, 55 school days left for Ele­men­tary and even less for Jr/ Sr High. Bad­minton Coun­ties: Wheat­land Cross­ing will send Se­nior High kids on April 18 and Ju­nior High stu­dents on April 19.
