Greetings & Salutations! Here’s what’s new this week in the Standard Community…
Aloha & Maholo! The Standard Lionettes Beach Party Ladies Night Out was a great success, a fun time was had by all! The ladies took the theme to heart in the wonderful costumes that were displayed, every type of beachy outfit was there. From Dawn Faubion in her life guard gear to Jolayne Christensen in vintage floral prints to Nicola Mccubbin and baby to be in her grass skirt and tropical leis, this is what makes Standard Ladies Night Out a cut above! DJ Mary Ann Oxtoby and Associates provided all our favorite tunes, taking requests and mixing it up! The crowd was delighted by the Pearls of Polynesia, professional hula and Polynesian dancers from Calgary, the highlight was watching our beloved Lions volunteers who not only bartended and raked the sand all night long, but joined the ladies on stage for an unforgettable dance number! Once again Bubba Q outdid themselves with a most delicious supper and dessert bar. The Lionettes would like to express their gratitude to all the donors, from the raffle to the silent and live auction and door prize, and décor loans, your participation helps make this night a huge success. The Standard Lionettes are looking forward to next year’s event and seeing you all there!
