I hope this nice weather stays for awhile but we also need some rain. That seems to be in the forecast for Thursday but the long weekend is good for camping.
I’m enjoying the hockey games with the Jets and Knights. Both teams are tough and it should be a great series. Some of the so-called experts of the game must be surprised that their ‘underdog teams’ are now in the semi-finals.
I was reading in the Sun last week that the Americans are talking through their hats again about our ‘nasty tarsands’. It would be nice if Al Gore and others minded their own business and learned to learn before they speak.
Last Tuesday I had daughter Laurie and Ken from Lamont here for a short visit. Had them do some odd jobs for me too as I’m getting too old for some of that window washing business. On the long weekend I’m expecting Chad, Catherine and Cassie from Weyburn here so a busy time coming up.
Here’s a little bit of humour for the week: This is taken from a history and English teacher’s answers collected from different schools....
The inhabitants of Egypt were called mummies and they travelled a lot by Camelot. Nero was a cruel tyrant who tortured his subjects by playing the fiddle to them.
Have a good week and don’t forget the sun lotion.
