Nacmine man fac­ing more charges

A Nacmine man who was co-charged with two oth­ers with a 50-count in­for­ma­tion is fac­ing more charges.

John McCon­nell of Nacmine ap­peared in pro­vin­cial court in Drumheller on Fri­day, Septem­ber 21. He was ar­rested and charged along with two other peo­ple on July 29 af­ter po­lice ex­e­cuted a search war­rant on a res­i­dence and shop in Nacmine.

He is fac­ing a num­ber of charges in­clud­ing pos­ses­sion of stolen prop­erty, drugs and weapons charges. There are also charges re­lated to forged ve­hi­cle doc­u­ments and tam­pered VIN plates.

The court heard he is also fac­ing new charges. These in­clude two breaches of his con­di­tions and a charge of an unau­tho­rized pos­ses­sion of a firearm in a mo­tor ve­hi­cle.

Co-ac­cused McKenzie Clark also made an ap­pear­ance on Septem­ber 21. They are sched­uled to re­turn to court on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 19.

Co-ac­cused Brent Twil­ley of no fixed ad­dress was also slated to be in court, how­ever, he did not ap­pear. A war­rant has been is­sued.
