The Rock­y­ford Lions Club will be hav­ing a Steak and Lob­ster Sup­per on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24, 2018 at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Cock­tails are at 6 p.m. with din­ner to fol­low at 6:30 p.m. Pro­ceeds from this fund- raiser will go to the Curl­ing Club and Com­mu­nity bet­ter­ment. Tick­ets are avail­able from any Lion mem­ber.

The Rock­y­ford Rough­necks (Ban­tam) hockey team is host­ing their home tour­na­ment this week­end (Novem­ber 9 - 11).

The Re­mem­brance Day Ser­vice will take place on Sun­day, Novem­ber 11 at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre start­ing at 10:30 a.m. There will be a lun­cheon af­ter the ser­vice.

The Rock­y­ford Friend­ship Club will be host­ing a Christ­mas Tea on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24 from 2 - 4 p.m. There will be a craft ta­ble, a bake ta­ble and a silent auc­tion. Ev­ery­one is most wel­come to at­tend.

Rock­y­ford’s “Christ­mas Com­mo­tion” will be held on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8 at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Stay tuned for more in­for­ma­tion in next week’s col­umn.

Fam­ily Paint is from 10 un­til noon on Satur­day, Novem­ber 17; and Paint Night be­gins at 7:00 p.m. on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 29. Snow­men are the theme for Novem­ber. To see a sam­ple of the fin­ished prod­ucts, drop in at the li­brary.

Get some fun Christ­mas gift-giv­ing ideas at the video-con­fer­ence in the li­brary on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 8, be­gin­ning at 6:30. “Edi­ble Gifts for the Sea­son” will of­fer some easy and stress­free ideas to make your own spe­cial edi­ble gifts for this Christ­mas.

Time is run­ning out to regis­ter for the sten­cilled wooden blocks project at Rock­y­ford Li­brary, Novem­ber 15, at 7:00 p.m. Regis­ter on or be­fore Novem­ber 8 at the Rock­y­ford Li­brary and se­lect the sten­cils you want to use for your project. Con­tact the li­brary to se­lect your four sets of sten­cils as soon as pos­si­ble.
