Driving too fast
COLLINGWOOD — Sunday came as an expensive lesson for an 18- yearold lead foot after OPP stopped a car on Highway 26 near Poplar Sideroad travelling 60 kilometres faster than the posted speed limit. Police stopped the SUV after radar saw the young driver racing by at 118 km/ h in a 50 km/ h zone. The driver, from Brampton, was stopped near Robert Avenue. He faces charges of speeding 50+ over the posted limited and racing. In addition his vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence was suspended for seven days. He has an October court appearance in Collingwood.
