Re: City budget talks starting to heat up (Oct. 10)

I am having a difficult time trying to understand city council’s budget priorities.

We often have a shortage of ambulances to care for the sick and injured of this community but we choose, with our municipal voting privileges, to prefer splash pads, airport classes and sporting venues. With above average taxation and annual ridiculous tax increases, one would think we would have top-notch facilities in Brantford. How did we ever get to these absurd priorities.

People cannot keep blaming councillors. They were elected by the community. business at the Lynden Park Mall.

Would it not be much better to have Costco become part of the current mall complex that has plenty of parking rather than squeezing Costco into a corner lot that does not appear to suitable.
