chooses five players to start from a pool of six: Paige Bagshaw, Kennedy Chisholm, Taylor Hill, Maddie Sanderson, Neyla Piovesan and Kennedy Peirce. Contributing to the team off the bench are Emma Smith, Kaitlin Thomson, Madison McGregor and Jordi Clark.
“All of these kids have been in our program since Grade 9 so they all have the experience of moving from our junior program into our senior program with the same four or five coaches,” said Jamula.
Those coaches are Ross Enslev, Pat Woodburn, Dan Zinn and Larry Hotte.
“In particular, Ross and Pat have been really positive in terms of development for our program,” Jamula said. “They both put in a lot of time and a lot of work with these kids.”
So, does Jamula think his team is the favourite to win the league championship?
“For us, really, if we develop our strengths, we should be able to do well but who knows because the other teams have strengths as well,” he said.
“If we play as a team . . . if we play the right way, we’ll be successful. Our goal is to, and it sounds ridiculous, look after ourselves and then things will take care of themselves.
