An argument between a Brantford man and woman led to both parties stabbing each other. Brantford police received a call just before 7 p.m. Tuesday after a man was seen walking along Mohawk Street with a stab wound in his back. Officers located the man, who told police he had been in an argument with his friend, who stabbed him in the back when he left. Police then located the female at her residence. The female admitted the two were arguing and told officers she was stabbed in the leg by the male. Both parties were arrested and treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A 38-year-old Brantford man and a 35-year-old Brantford woman were held for a bail hearing, charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
A 20-year-old woman called 9-1-1 just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, following an argument with her boyfriend. Police say the woman fled her Fulton Street home after the accused threatened to burn her house down and steal her car. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and the accused, a 24-year-old Brantford man, is charged with uttering threats to damage property, taking a motor vehicle without consent and failing to comply with a recognizance order.
A 22-year-old Brantford man has been charged with driving while disqualified. Brantford police officers saw a vehicle driving aggressively on Park Avenue just before 5 p.m. Wednesday. After stopping the vehicle, officers determined the male was prohibited from driving.
