Ford rants unfounded

The Expositor (Brantford) - - OPINION -

As a candidate and now as premier, Doug Ford has ranted about the carbon tax being ineffective and a job killer.

How does he explain that Ontario’s jobless rate hit an 18 year low (5.8 per cent) in July. Year over year, Ontario’s employment rate grew by two per cent, which is higher than the Canadian rate of 1.3 per cent.

Now consider that last weekend the Nobel Prize in economics was awarded to Bill Nordhaus for his work showing carbon taxation as an effective and efficient way to reduce carbon emissions.

So, who to believe: the Nobel laureate or the guy who struggled to run his dad’s sticker factory?
