Brant­ford po­lice said Fri­day they have charged three men with firearm­re­lated of­fences af­ter an in­ves­ti­ga­tion at a dis­tur­bance at an ad­dress on Welling­ton Street. On Wed­nes­day, just af­ter 7 p.m., po­lice got a 911 call and were ad­vised that the par­ties in­side were in pos­ses­sion of firearms. Of­fi­cers ar­rested three men found in the home and seized two loaded semi­au­to­matic firearms: one a 40-cal­i­bre and the other a 45-cal­i­bre. Charged are two men, aged 22 and 21, from Brant­ford and a 22-year-old man from Bramp­ton. Each is charged with pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited or re­stricted firearm with am­mu­ni­tion, careless use of a firearm, weapon and am­mu­ni­tion, tam­per­ing with a se­rial num­ber of a firearm and pos­ses­sion of a weapon for a dan­ger­ous pur­pose.
