The Gananoque Is­lan­ders won back-to-back games for the first time this sea­son, as they fol­lowed up a 7-3 win two Sun­days ago over the Amher­stview Jetswith a 5-1win over the Camp­bell­ford Rebels in a Provin­cial Ju­nior Hockey League game this past Sun­day night.

Garry Smith led the home-ice Isles of­fen­sively with four points (two goals, two as­sists) and nowhas eight points (3G, 5A) in four games since be­ing ac­quired from the Cen­tral CanadaHockey League Tier 2 West­port Rideaus.

Also scor­ing for the Tod Di­vi­sion fifth-place Is­lan­ders, who im­proved to 6-17-0-0, were Dakota Con­can­non, Brae­dyn As­sel­s­tine and Ai­den Fo­ley.

Gananoque led 2-0 af­ter the first pe­riod but just 2-1 head­ing into the third pe­riod be­fore tack­ing on three fi­nal-pe­riod goals.

The Isles out­shot the 0-24-0-0 Rebels 45-23 in the game.

This week, the Is­lan­ders are in Pic­ton on Thurs­day night to meet the third-place Pi­rates at 7:30 p.m. be­fore host­ing the first-placeNa­pa­nee Raiders on Sun­day night at 7 p.m.
