ARTS CLUB GETS ECLEC­TIC In­com­ing Arts Club The­atre artis­tic di­rec­tor Ash­lie Cor­co­ran has an­nounced a di­verse first sea­son for 2018-19. The ros­ter fea­tures the West End hit The Cu­ri­ous In­ci­dent of the Dog in the Night-time and the Broad­way Pulitzer Prize win­ner Sweat. Sev­eral shows dig into Pun­jabi, Chi­nese-amer­i­can, and Indige­nous her­itage, in­clud­ing Sarena Par­mar’s Pun­jabi Sikh Chekhov spin The Or­chard (Af­ter Chekhov). There are works by Mor­ris Panych (The Sho­plifters) and Stars singer Torquil Camp­bell (True Crime). No lo­cally writ­ten pre­mieres ap­pear in the lineup, but sev­eral Van­cou­ver plays, in­clud­ing Mom’s the Word: Nest 1/2 Empty, will see re­mounts. Cor­co­ran also launched a new res­i­dent-com­pany pro­gram, nam­ing Hard­line Pro­duc­tions as the in­au­gu­ral troupe. Hard­line will re­mount its Indige­nous war story Red­patch on the com­pany’s Gold­corp Stage next March. See the full lineup at
