– The lo­cal Farm­ers’ Mar­ket takes place ev­ery Fri­day, 3 to 7 pm, dur­ing sum­mer months. – Tourism Booth – Ev­ery sum­mer from June to Septem­ber, a stu­dent tends the booth, lo­cated in the LCBO park­ing lot. – The Re­lay for Life held Satur­day, June 6 hosted by the Cana­dian Can­cer So­ci­ety. Open to all, camp­ing on site. – Cham­ber of Com­merce Potluck Din­ner – June 20, Maxville Sports Com­plex. – The an­nual side­walk sale is held Satur­day, June 20. – The Maxville Fair – Kenyon Agri­cul­tural So­ci­ety, founded in 1888, is an old-fash­ioned coun­try fair, June 26, 27 and 28. The en­ter­tain­ment varies from de­mo­li­tion der­bies and wrestling to High­land danc­ing and pip­ing. – Canada Day Cel­e­bra­tions, June 30, at the fair­grounds, hosted by the Maxville Recre­ation Com­mit­tee. There is a BBQ, in­flat­able play struc­ture for kids and fire­works at dusk. – The Glen­garry High­land Games on the Fri­day and Satur­day of the long week­end in Au­gust – this year held on July 31-Au­gust 1. Founded in 1948, they have grown to be­come of the largest High­land Games in the world. – Santa Claus Pa­rade – held Sun­day, Novem­ber 15, and leads through­out the vil­lage end­ing at the Maxville Sports Com­plex where the kids visit with Santa.
