– The local Farmers’ Market takes place every Friday, 3 to 7 pm, during summer months. – Tourism Booth – Every summer from June to September, a student tends the booth, located in the LCBO parking lot. – The Relay for Life held Saturday, June 6 hosted by the Canadian Cancer Society. Open to all, camping on site. – Chamber of Commerce Potluck Dinner – June 20, Maxville Sports Complex. – The annual sidewalk sale is held Saturday, June 20. – The Maxville Fair – Kenyon Agricultural Society, founded in 1888, is an old-fashioned country fair, June 26, 27 and 28. The entertainment varies from demolition derbies and wrestling to Highland dancing and piping. – Canada Day Celebrations, June 30, at the fairgrounds, hosted by the Maxville Recreation Committee. There is a BBQ, inflatable play structure for kids and fireworks at dusk. – The Glengarry Highland Games on the Friday and Saturday of the long weekend in August – this year held on July 31-August 1. Founded in 1948, they have grown to become of the largest Highland Games in the world. – Santa Claus Parade – held Sunday, November 15, and leads throughout the village ending at the Maxville Sports Complex where the kids visit with Santa.
