The society, South Glengarry Township and the Martintown Goodtimers Association are in the process of making the park a reality. The project will include the construction of a deck with a gazebo, a picnic area, a memorial garden and walkways accessible to everyone. The community-oriented park will enhance the use of the community centre and will be an ideal spot for a picnic, for friends to gather, or just to enjoy a quiet moment in nature.
Since 1965, the society has been involved with improvements in the village, including landscaping, planting, and maintaining the grounds of the local community centre. Members also plant and maintain the flowers in the village and contribute to Christmas lighting and the Santa Claus Parade.
