Give ‘Life in a bottle’
Q&A with JoAnne Y. Gauthier, traditional naturopath, L’Amie de la Santé in Hawkesbury.
What is the number one reason people should buy from you?
Our professional and friendly service as well as variety and freshness of our products.
If you had a choice, what product in your store would you like to receive yourself?
Definitely Vita Biosa. It’s like “life in a bottle.” The best of both plant and probiotics. This triple fermented product naturally restores balance in your microbiome (gut), which boils down to stronger immune system, less inflammation, better digestion and nutrient assimilation resulting in more energy and vitality. I love the stuff!
What is your most popular product?
That’s a hard question to answer, because we cover so many different categories. In light of that, the first thing that comes to mind is probiotics, followed by menopause, stress/sleep products and the familiar vitamin D, Calcium and Omegas.
Have consumers’ tastes changed over the years?
Consumerism is constantly changing and evolving with time, because of technology and trends, which generally last three to six months. Is online shopping an issue? In our experience, clients who make the trip to our store, do so for the personalized service we offer them. Every one of our unique team members brings something special to our store and we have a loyal customer base. Why should people shop locally? Supporting your local economy is always a powerful way of keep- ing your local merchants in business, which means less travelling time for shopping and more time for family and your favourite activities. As for services, we have three naturopaths, a reflexologist, two massage therapists and many referral services. Our front store staff consists of Guylaine Gagné, naturopath and general manager, Sue Renaud, grocery manager, Linda Weightman, customer service, Vickie Nadeau-St-Amour, purchaser, naturopath in training and customer service, JoAnne Gauthier, naturopath and marketing, Marie-France Jobin, naturopath in training, customer service, Chris Gallant, customer service, Thérèse Fanion, massage therapist and customer service, Sylvie Caouette, massage therapist, Colombe Gauvin, naturopath and live blood analysis, Carole Joly, reflexologist.
