People know if they want to buy local, and get award-winning cheese, Glengarry Fine Cheese in Lancaster is a must-stop on their shopping itinerary.

Asked which product she prefers, cheesemaker Margaret Peters Morris selects “a piece of international award-winning cheese made in our very own Glengarry county, named Lankaaster.”

The most favoured products are the Lankaaster, Celtic Reserve and Fleur en Lait. “We are also releasing each Christmas special cave-aged Cheddar also made in our plant,” she adds.

“Consumers do like to have choices and to be able to find such esteemed products made right in your region can really convey pride in gift-giving,” she note.

“Shopping locally keeps our area vibrant and economically strong; it is great for everybody.”

Specializing in artisan-style cheese from cow and goat milk, Glengarry Fine Cheese is located just north of the village of Lancaster.

“We manufacture our cheese on location, to exacting standards of care. This results in delicious, fine cheese that is unlike anything you've ever tasted!”

Glengarry Fine Cheese is situated on the farm of Margaret Peters Morris’ family ancestral lands.

Mrs. Peters Morris began making cheese from farm milk back in the early 1990s.

The inclusion of a cheese-making facility was a natural addition to the cheese supply business she started in 1995.

Cheeses are aged in European-designed aging rooms that provide the ambiance that develop their mouth-watering finish in their own time.
