Glen­garry Hearts U15 boys snag sec­ond spot in ERSL

It’s a sec­ond-place ERSL fin­ish this sea­son for the Glen­garry Hearts U15 boys Hearts soc­cer team, which recorded 8 wins and three losses, for 24 points.

The Se­away Val­ley Blaz­ers topped the ta­ble at 33 points.

The boys com­pleted the cam­paign on Aug. 30, fall­ing 3-1 to the Ot­tawa Glouces­ter Hor­nets At­tack. Jimmy Bour­bon­nais, the team’s sec­ond-lead­ing goal scorer had the lone Glen­garry tally.

The loss broke a two-game win- ning streak, that saw the Hearts blank the Ne­pean Hot­spurs Spar­tans 2- 0 and the Ot­tawa In­ter­na­tion­als 4-0.

Ken­neth MacMil­lan and An­drew MacMaster each ac­counted for two goals, with the oth­ers notched by Bour­bon­nais and Todd McBain.

MacMil­lan fin­ished the sea­son as Glen­garry’s top goal scorer, with 10 on the sea­son.

Goal­keeper Lo­gan Keuren­t­jes back­stopped five shutouts.
