Warm weather proved to be an un­ex­pected foe this past week­end as the mer­cury hit the low-30s Cel­sius and the hu­mid­ity added an­other 10 de­grees both Satur­day and Sun­day dur­ing the Glen­garry Pi­o­neer Mu­seum’s eighth an­nual Bat­tle of Glen­garry/War of 1812 Re-En­act­ment Week­end. Me­lanie Stubbs, wife of Capt. Mark Stubbs, Cap­tain of the 49th Reg­i­ment Gre­nadiers but tem­po­rar­ily re­as­signed to the Glen­garry Light In­fantry, en­joys the com­forts of be­ing an of­fi­cer’s wife, sip­ping a cool re­fresh­ment in their tent. The Stubbs are long-time reen­act­ment par­tic­i­pants who live in Spencerville.
