APPLES AND ARTS
Many artists opened their homes, or brought their work to another venue, to take part in the annual Apples and Arts Studio Tour. Above: Mitch Corriveau, a textile artist who operates out of The Millinery at Cornerstone Farm on Beaupre Road near Green Valley, shows a homemade felt hat. Making hats is his big passion, though his store also sells jams made from local berries, maple syrup made on his farm, and soap made from goat milk. Deirdre Cuggy of the Brown House Road with acrylic paintings which she displayed at Cynthia Gatien’s home in South Lancaster. Ms. Cuggy, who enjoys painting landscapes, is a three-year veteran of the tour. Below, Betty Healey was at the Quirky Carrot in Alexandria to show off some of her acrylic paintings on tissue paper. Ms. Healey hails from North Lancaster.
