Mo­tor­cy­cle stolen

Novem­ber 4 at ap­prox­i­mately 7:20 p.m., Stor­mont, Dun­das & Glen­garry (SD&G) On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice of­fi­cers re­sponded to a re­port of a theft of a mo­tor­cy­cle from a res­i­dence on Loch Garry Road, North Glen­garry Town­ship. Some­time that day a 2008 Blue and White Suzuki GSXR mo­tor­cy­cle with On­tario plate (8187Z) was re­moved from the prop­erty. An in­ves­ti­ga­tion con­tin­ues.

Mis­chief charge

A 34-year-old South Glen­garry man was charged with mis­chief and un­law­fully be­ing in a dwelling house fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent at a res­i­dence on County Road 34 in South Glen­garry Novem­ber 2. The sus­pect, whose name was not re­leased in or­der to pro­tect the iden­tity of the vic­tim, is sched­uled to ap­pear in Corn­wall court on Novem­ber 28.

Mur­der trial next year

An Ot­tawa man charged with ac­ces­sory af­ter the fact to mur­der af­ter an­other Ot­tawa man who later died was dropped off at l’Hôpi­tal Glen­garry Me­mo­rial Hospi­tal un­der mys­te­ri­ous cir­cum­stances last June is sched­uled to stand trial in the spring. Anh Quang-Nguyen, 29, was ap­pre­hended by the SD&G OPP on High­way 34 in South Glen­garry June 5 shortly af­ter he and Tri Minh Hoang, 61, of Mon­treal, allegedly left the dy­ing vic­tim, 29-year-old Khanh Nguyen, at the hospi­tal and sped away. His three-day trial is slated to be­gin April 23. Mr. Quang-Nguyen will ap­pear in Corn­wall court on Novem­ber 23 and 24 for a bail re­view hear­ing. His de­fence coun­sel will also sub­mit a Garo­foli ap­pli­ca­tion, a mo­tion to ex­clude ev­i­dence col­lected un­der a search war­rant. Both sus­pects also face charges of mar­i­juana pro­duc­tion.
