Duchene’s aunt happy with trade
Local Ottawa Senators fans may be rejoicing now that their team managed to acquire Matt Duchene, though it’s unlikely any of them are happier about it than Glengarry District High School Principal Trish Brown.
Ms. Brown just happens to be the aunt of the 26year-old centre, who was acquired by the Sens on Sunday as part of a National Hockey League trade with the Colorado Avalanche and Nashville Predators. Ms. Brown says she will definitely attend a lot more Sens games this year. In the past, she tended to go only when her nephew’s former team, Colorado, was playing in Ottawa. She’ll also take in Vancouver Canucks games because her brother, Newell Brown, is an assistant coach with that team.
