Mem­bers of the Lan­caster Royal Cana­dian Air Cadets, 253 Claude Nun­ney Squadron, vol­un­teered for the Adopt-a-Road clean-up along their two-kilo­me­tre por­tion of Hwy 2. Capt. Melissa McBain (Squadron in­struc­tor), Cpl. Bri­lyn Poirier of Sum­mer­stown and LAC Ni­co­las Massé of Bainsville were part of the squad who filled nine bags of garbage. The ac­tiv­ity was sup­ported by South Glen­garry and the United Coun­ties, and an On­tario Provin­cial Po­lice of­fi­cer from Alexan­dria who stopped by and helped out with safety. Capt. Earle DePass, the squadron’s com­mand­ing of­fi­cer, re­minds young peo­ple aged 12-19 that they are al­ways wel­come to join the Air Cadet Pro­gram (ACP).
