The Glengarry News - - Sports in the Glens - Sean Bray

The Bar Flies senior men’s soccer team scored a 6-0 victory at the dome last Thursday, blanking the North Lancaster Bombers, whose goalkeeper, Jonathan Vachon, was kept busy throughout the match.

Brennan Nadeau led the offensive attack for the Flies, scoring twice, with singles notched by Bailey Pidgeon, Xaavian Ali, Hamish MacLeod, and Cameron Poirier.

Vachon made numerous stellar saves, especially in the latter stages, preventing the contest from getting out of hand, while at the other end of the field, keeper David MacMaster had little work for the Flies.

The evening’s other match saw McCrimmon dispatch GFES 4-1. Sheldon Lancaster potted a pair for the White Shirts, with other goals scored by Bassem Dagher and Matthew Watts, while Sullivan Van Loon had the lone Greenfield marker. –
