DUNVEGAN WINTER CARNIVAL:
As always, the Dunvegan Winter Carnival offered lots of frosty fun. After an early morning breakfast at the Dunvegan Recreation Hall, the action shifted to James Joyce’s property on County Road 24 just east of town. Top left, Leah Hancharuk of Ottawa and Amber Kilgour of Maxville looked after these two miniature donkeys, Bruce and Willis, as part of the carnival’s scavenger hunt. At top, Robin MacSweyn of Dunvegan brought her two-year-old son, Duncan, to the carnival for a little sleigh time. At left, Eugene Kyer of St. Andrews helped with the horse-drawn carriage. Korey Kyer owns the horses and Dan Lacombe owns the sled. For more coverage on the winter carnival, please see James Joyce’s column on page 15.
