Canadiens are coming
Alumni of the NHL Montreal Canadiens will be skating at Alexandria’s Glengarry Sports Palace on Saturday, Oct. 27, against a team of Glens alumni, in a fundraiser for the Glengarry Memorial Hospital foundation.
The event, a partnership between the township and the hospital’s foundation, will feature 11 Canadiens old-timers, though the final roster will only be announced just before the game. Amongst the possible participants are Steve Shutt, Guy Carbonneau, and Stéphan Richer, along with coaches Guy Lafleur and Yvon Lambert.
Local skaters, over the age of 35, can get involved as Glens alumni, with 15 spots available. Players will have to pay $600 or sell 20 tickets, and positions are available on a first-come, first-

Individuals playing in the special game will receive a custom jersey to keep.
Tickets are now on sale at $40 (regular admission) and $85 (VIP, which includes game ticket, player meet-and-greet, and dinner).
