High school sports

The first SD&G high school sports championship of 2018-19 is set to tee off Tues­day, Sept. 18, at the Up­per Canada Golf Course.

Ten­nis fol­lows, in Alexan­dria, on Sept. 25, with matches to be played on the courts at Glen­garry DHS and Is­land Park. Rain date is set for Sept. 27.

The SD&G cross-coun­try run­ning meet will be hosted by North Dun­das DHS this year, slated for Oct. 17.

Girls bas­ket­ball and boys vol­ley­ball sched­ules are T.B.A.

Ladies broom­ball

The ladies broom­ball league in Wil­liamstown be­gins play on Sept. 23, with games run­ning Sun­day morn­ings at 10 and 11 through­out the win­ter. New play­ers and goal­tenders are wel­come.

On­line reg­is­tra­tion for the 201819 sea­son of in­door soccer at Alexan­dria’s dome is open un­til Sept. 30.
