‘Exciting’ truck stop venture
The Curry Hill Truck Stop may have some competition – directly across the road – in the near future.
While South Glengarry council recently rejected a site plan control agreement for the initial phase of the project due to issues involving unpaved portions of the property’s parking lot, the municipality stopped short of rejecting the development altogether.
“I just wonder with a large truck parking area if we might have dust concerns in the future during the summer,” said Mayor Ian McLeod at the most recent council meeting. “And I know in Lancaster that we had an incident a number of years ago where the parking lot was supposed to have been asphalt and the parking lot kind of dropped.”
The mayor asked township general manager of community services Joanne Haley if
