An investigation that began early last year has resulted in a 56-yearold South Glengarry woman being charged with fraud over $5,000.
Angela Zimmerman, who was arrested September 7, was released and is scheduled to appear in Alexandria court today (October 10).
She was charged after Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police detachment responded February 20, 2017 to a report of a theft of funds from a victim in South Glengarry Township.
The Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police detachment is investigating the theft of a 17-foot white duck boat with a 70horsepower Mariner engine from a property on County Road 2 in South Glengarry.
Sometime on September 28, thieves made off with a King generator and a Stihl weed eater from a property on Binette Road in North Glengarry.
The Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to 198 calls for service from September 28 to October 1. Officers responded to five motor vehicle collisions, 14 calls for assistance, ten 911 calls, 16 traffic complaints, conducted 15 RIDE checks, handled two neighbour disputes, five traffic hazards, two fraud-related calls, two domestic disputes, 11 thefts, two harassment calls, three mischief calls, a sudden death investigation, six suspicious activity calls, one unwanted person call and one stolen vehicle.
