Let us pray for Canada

The Editor, The “Grotto Park” in Alexandria on the property of The Palace retirement home, bordered by Bishop and Centre Streets, has become a really beautiful spot.

It has been a great place for the wonderful Wednesday evening summer concerts organized by Brian and Liz Caddell. They raised money by freewill offerings to renew the Grotto Shrine, provide benches, improve accessibility, plant flowers and more.

Last October, an annual autumn event was launched there: A “Rosary Rally” for our country. It is a gathering of ordinary Canadians who love our country, but are concerned about the decline of faith and morality in our society. The Rosary is ideally suited for prayer together by a large group. (Over 50 came last October.) This year it will be held Saturday, October 13, at 11 a.m. Just half an hour. Rain or shine. Everyone welcome. Moira van Nooten (613-525-1530)
