(Editor’s note: As October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, The Glengarry News will be publishing brief articles on Community Living Glengarry clients who have found employment in the area.)

Once a week, you can find Chantal Menard proudly working at Community Living Glengarry’s head office in Alexandria, where she spends her time shredding material for the administrative staff.

Her supervisors say that she has been an exemplary employee for the last year and that she works independently.

Ms. Menard takes her job very seriously, and comes to work on Wednesdays dressed professionally for her office job.

She says she likes her co-workers and feels like part of the team. Her co-workers also value her hard work and dedication.

When you ask Chantal what her favourite part of her job is she states ”the pay cheque.”
