Cameron goes the distance
Green Valley native Jacob Cameron recently completed his second marathon, running the Toronto Waterfront course with a time of 2 hours, 52 minutes, 44.6 seconds for 108th overall, of 3713 athletes. In his division (male ages 25-29), Cameron was 27th of 389.
On the result, Cameron describes it as just OK, adding that he signed up in advance for the run but missed a lot of training in the lead-up to the marathon.
Cameron has already had a successful long-distance running career locally. He shone during his high school days at Glengarry DHS and most recently captured the championship of the 11 km race at the 2018 Great Raisin River Footrace, in Williamstown.
