The mi­nor di­vi­sions of GSL in­door soc­cer re­cently kicked off at Alexan­dria’s dome.

In the U17 girls group, on Oct. 28, Canada pounded Ire­land 10-1, and the Nether­lands edged Mex­ico 7-5.

U17 boys games, played on Oct. 30, saw Canada and Real Madrid bat­tle to a 4- 4 draw, while Ger­many clipped the Nether­lands 6-5.

Ar­gentina tops the ta­ble in the U14 girls di­vi­sion, per­fect thus far with 2 wins. Round­ing out the stand­ings are Brazil (1 win, 0 ties, 0 losses), Italy (1-0-0), Canada (0-0-1), Spain (0-0-1), and the Nether­lands (0-0-2).

It’s early in the U14 boys sched­ule, with each team hav­ing played just once. Win­ners thus far are France, Italy, and Ire­land, while win­less teams are Eng­land, the Nether­lands, and Canada.

Matches con­tinue through the win­ter, with U17 girls games on Sun­day af­ter­noons, the U17 boys play­ing Tues­day evenings, the U14 girls on Sun­day morn­ings, and the U14 boys hit­ting the turf on Mon­day and Wed­nes­day evenings.
